Fresh Apple Snack Cake Recipe

Ingredients
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup baking cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup water
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped peeled baking apples
2/3 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions
- In a medium bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
- Combine water, oil, lemon juice and vanilla; add to the dry ingredients and stir just until combined.
- Toss apples with sugar and cinnamon; fold into batter. Pour into a greased 8-in. square baking pan. Bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes or until cake tests done. Yield: 9 servings.
