Prep: 10 min. + marinating Grill: 10 min.
Ingredients
1-1/2 cups Roasted Garlic Teriyaki Marinade & Sauce, divided
1-1/4 pounds boneless beef sirloin steak, (1 inch thick)
1 large onion, peeled
2/3 cup mayonnaise
2 to 3 teaspoons prepared horseradish
6 soft French rolls, split and toasted, optional
Directions
- Pour 1/2 cup roasted garlic teriyaki sauce over steak in a large resealable plastic bag.
- Press air out of bag; close top securely. Turn bag over several times to coat steak well. Refrigerate 45 minutes, turning bag over occasionally.
- Meanwhile, cut onion crosswise into 1/2-in. thick slices. Skewer each slice to hold rings together and place in shallow pan. Pour 1/4 cup roasted garlic teriyaki sauce over onion slices, turning to coat both sides.
- In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, 4 teaspoons roasted garlic teriyaki sauce and horseradish; cover and refrigerate.
- Drain beef and onions; discard marinade. Grill or broil steak and onion together 4-5 in. from heat source for 5 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness, brushing occasionally with remaining roasted garlic teriyaki sauce.
- Remove skewers from onion. Cut steak across grain into thin slices. If desired, serve beef and onion slices on rolls with garlic-teriyaki mayonnaise. Yield: 6 servings.
